Content Research: Autumn Forest and Woodlands Keywords

Autumn is almost here, and you might want to do some content calendar planning ahead of time.

If you’re in the baby, kids, children, books or toys niches, you likely blog, write, and film content about forests, the woods, and woodland animals. There are squirrels on baby onesies, baby blankets festooned with raccoons, plush toys, books about critters that live in the forest, and all sorts of playsets set in the woods. When researching woodland creatures, also use the word “baby” in front of them to discover more. “Baby raccoon, baby bear,” etc.

There are also many, many home decor items made to look like owls, squirrels and the like. In the kitchen alone, you might find owl clocks, owl cookie cutters, owls on aprons and pot holders, etc. Also think of the many decorative figurines, paintings, wall hangings and rugs with woodland animals emblazoned on them. Party and entertaining napkins and paper plates often include woodland creatures as themes.

This keyword research will help you find books, clothing and toy brands you (and other influencers) haven’t yet heard of. Of course, you’ll want to do due diligence. Use your product research tool of choice to see if you can find out sales frequencies and stats on each product.

Combine colors with animal names for a more unique take on product keyword research. For example: brown squirrel, golden squirrel, red fox, white fox, copper copper owl, etc.

Use these keywords in your content to bring in searchers, browsers and shoppers who enjoy autumn themed products.
