Here’s an idea for a fun, engaging livestream you could do if you’re in the book, film or family niches. Host a “Little Women” themed livestream for your followers and viewers to chat about the book and movies, and shop for Louisa May Alcott books, films and keepsakes.

The classic novel “Little Women” begins with a Christmas chapter. Many people re-read “Little Women” in the fall, and many families gather to watch one of the adaptations during the holidays.

Fill your livestream product carousel with Little Women book editions that you personally have on hand .You can hold up, flip through and showcase each edition and offer tempting reasons to add one to your library or gift to a young woman.

Dress up your livestream studio with a Christmasy photography backdrop, such as the fabric ones from Kate. Note that the darker backdrops are trickier to light than the white or cream Christmas backdrops are.

During the livestream, as you chat with viewers, sip gourmet hot cocoa (which you can advertise as well) from an old fashioned mug, both of which you can also advertise on the livestream.

You can discuss modern retellings of the story (they’re sort of like fan fiction). There’s a dark mashup book that I enjoyed called Little Women and Werewolves.

Chat about the different film adaptations of “Little Women.” Emphasize why it might be a good idea to own a copy on Blu-Ray or DVD (in case streaming services don’t offer the version you want to see during the time of year you’d like to re-watch the film).

You can also now include Prime Video rentals in your product carousel (last I checked).

There are Little Women cookbooks you could promote. Perhaps cook or bake something from one of them during your livestream, or prepare ahead of time to showcase to your viewers.

There are a couple of professionally illustrated Little Women adult coloring books – the rest are junky AI crap. There’s also a really cute Little Women paper dolls book, and a knitting book.

Unfortunately there aren’t really a lot of Little Women dolls, toys, collectibles, etc. out there. At least there’s a nice candle from Paddywax devoted to Louisa May Alcott. You might be able to do a little research and find some I haven’t thought of, to showcase on your livestream shopping show!
